Lord Mayor's Charitable Foundation Listed as Beneficiary of Eldon Foote Estate
The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation is one of two charitable foundations listed as a beneficiary of the Eldon Foote Estate, the other being the Edmonton Community Foundation in Alberta, Canada.
“We are indeed very fortunate to be listed as the only Australian beneficiary of the Estate of Eldon Foote,” said the Foundation’s CEO Mr Andrew Chappell.
“Mr Foote established the Eldon and Anne Foote Trust with the Foundation in 2000 and already the Foote Trust has enabled much needed funds to be provided to many charities that are supporting people in need.”
All major grants to charities are attributed to the Eldon and Anne Foote Trust, and are selected via a rigorous application process by the Foundation’s funding panels of Life-Care, Health and Family. Around ten major grants are awarded each year valued at up to $150,000.
The Foundation has also been able to establish two new grants panels, these being environment, and arts, education and sport, which were of interest to Mr Foote.
“We thank Mr Foote for his kindness and generosity, and we look forward to continuing our valuable relationship with Mrs Foote,” added Mr Chappell.
